Spring is the best fashion season of the year. We can wear our bright colors, and the weather is perfect to begin fine-tuning your golf game and fitness after the long cold winter season. Let’s explore a few ways to work both on the course and in the gym effectively, while looking seasonably fabulous!

Yellow Fit & Fab

Fitness Tip

Your core is one of the most important muscles for a strong and well-balanced golf swing. You want to continuously work to increase core strength to get more yardage. I use between a two-pound to a six-pound medicine ball and practice my golf swing while focusing on my core. While swinging with the medicine ball, feel your core working as you position your arms at the top of your swing and the finishing position. Make sure to swing slowly with the medicine ball when you are moving through impact positon. Swinging in slow motion will work core muscles as you finish towards the target line. Try throwing the medicine ball straight through your target line to additionally help with a stronger impact position.

Fashion Tip

The color yellow exudes springtime! It’s the perfect statement to make during the fresh sunny season. I am wearing a bright yellow romper with lace finishing; this color really livens up a look on and off the course. I have paired my romper with white patent leather “Seema Style” FootJoys and matching all-white Titleist visor. The look is finished by my favorite “Seema Sparkle” Bonjoc Ball Markers called “Juicy & Prada.” Make a bright statement and have fun with your yellows this spring season.

Lace Extensions

Fitness Tip

It is a must to hit the gym; getting better at golf requires you to be stronger and to strengthen areas of your swing. I love my Valeo resistance extension cords; I have them in many colors and use them to hold my position at the top of my swing, feeling the burn in my core, arms and wrists. You can do this at home while watching TV; it is easy and fun! When you try this, notice your footwork as well. You can feel where your feet are transferring weight when you take the cord back. After practicing positions with the cord, I use my club and it feels like holding a feather. Focus on areas where you feel the burn, knowing that you are strengthening your positions at the top while helping your confidence when you hit a shot.

Fashion Tip

This is a flower one-piece made of a shiny and cool fabric—perfect for spring! The lace accents give the outfit an extra flair—lace is gorgeous with any outfit when paired correctly. The center of this one piece has elastic, so it makes it really easy to turn and come through the ball. Long sleeves are safe in the spring; we never know when it could get a bit chilly, and the flower pattern extends all the way down the sleeves. The green Foot Joy glove pops with the outfit and the navy blue Titleist hat and Navy Blue ‘Seema Style” FootJoys bring everything together for a perfect and fashionable day on course.

Black & Orange Bosu Balance

Fitness Tip

The Bosu exercise ball is one of my favorite pieces of equipment; there are so many uses for it. I use the Bosu ball for ab and arm exercises, but for golf it also allows me to work on balance. As you can see, I am standing on the Bosu ball and winding back with my club. My thighs and core are strong and mentally I am focused on staying even while winding back. It is a tough exercise, but it really helps you stay focused on your balance and where your balance tendencies are within your swing. Try to do three takeaways in a row without falling, and step off and try it on the ground. You will notice a huge difference in core and balance. When you are in the gym, use this drill with the Bosu ball and mix it in with other Bosu exercises.

Fashion Tip

There is nothing easier and more comfortable than a fitted and stretchy black one-piece. This black jumper is stretchy and super comfy! I can swing and move freely all day on the course. It is such a universal outfit because I can pair it with a sweater or wear a cute top over it. I can mold this one-piece black jumper into a million outfits and no one would even notice that all the outfits stem from this one universal piece. My friends at FootJoy spoil me with their comfortable shoes; one of my favorite pairs was my “Seema Style” hot orange LoPro Collection. I paired them with a white Titleist visor to complete this awesome look.
