Red Rock Country Club is excited to welcome back the Women’s Pro Circuit this coming Fall. The Patron Open is the only professional tennis tournament in Las Vegas and will make it’s return debut September 21 through 28, as players from all over the world compete for $50,000 in prize money and precious ITF points.
In previous years, Las Vegas has witnessed the rise of a few WTA stars as they work their way up the rankings. Players like Sorana Cirstea (29), Camila Giorgi (40), Coco Vandewhege (42), Lauren Davis (44), Varvara Lepchenko (49) and Monica Puig (69) have all made their mark here in Las Vegas over the past few years. “We are excited to see which players will be competing this year,” says Mike Copenhaver, tournament director and director of tennis at Red Rock Country Club. “Last year, we saw an exciting all American final featuring Coco Vandeweghe and Melanie Oudin.”
The tournament has drawn support from all over this year, with Patron Spirits and Company leading the way as the Title Sponsor. Other businesses including the Nevada Tennis Association, Marquis Aurbach, Agent Atleta, The Massage Advantage, WG Communications, Cox and Lotus Broadcasting have shown their support since its inception back in 2009. Pro tennis coach Darren Cahill has shown his support this year as a contributing sponsor and will be training with a few of the Top Adidas Professionals a couple weeks prior to the start of the Patron Open.
