PGA TOUR Superstore in Summerlin

Let’s take a trip back in time. Reminisce when, as a kid, you would walk into a toy store with your parents and marvel wide-eyed at the sheer number of toys available. There were soldiers, cars, dolls, games, stuffed animals and more fun stuff than you could possibly take in. No matter your interest, it was all right there.
That feeling is back, especially if you’re a golfer, at the PGA TOUR Superstore. The store, located in Summerlin, definitely lives up to its name. Spanning 30,000 square feet, the PGA TOUR Superstore can, and will, accommodate your every need when it comes to golf.
“It’s an interactive golf experience,” says Mark Barrett, Events and Tournaments Marketing Manager. “You can hit any club and our staff is always there to help with your swing or make suggestions on which clubs, shafts or grips will work best for you.” He feels the fitting experience is as impressive as it is helpful. “You can see results right away,” he says. “Whether you’re hitting (TaylorMade) M4 irons or PING irons or any others, you’ll be able to see which ones will let you hit it straighter and longer. The numbers never lie. It’s all right there in front of you. This will let you know which clubs will work out best for you.”
Speaking of clubs, every brand is represented—Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland, TaylorMade, Mizuno and more. In fact, there are club companies you’ve probably never heard about. But don’t worry, they aren’t there to just sell you any set. They will do their due diligence and fit your new set of clubs to you and your swing. There are club selections for men, women and junior golfers. “We’ve got PGA pros at the store and they are the experts,” Barrett said. “They can tweak the clubs, offer suggestions and really help you with your game, help you play better.”
Speaking of clubs, there’s a wide variety of putters surrounding a massive putting green. The staff can help you pick the golf ball that will best suit your game, something many players often overlook. We all want to hit the best golf ball on the market, the ones the pros play and hit 300-plus yards, but that’s not always the best choice for recreational players.
They have a unique offer for players. If you buy golf balls and find out they don’t fit your game, or you just don’t like the feel, they have you covered. Simply bring back three of the four sleeves and pick out another style or brand and you’re back on the course. No fuss, no muss.
How about apparel? Once again, the choices are as varied as your taste. And it’s not one huge section for men and a single aisle for women or junior golfers. The variety, styles and sizes are impressive and can outfit any golfer. Shoes? Please. If you can’t find a pair (or several pair) that fit your taste and style, you’re not looking hard enough. From Adidas to Callaway to Ecco to Footjoy to… Well, you get the picture.
Then there’s gear. From rangefinders to umbrellas to training aids to ball retrievers (yes, those still exist even in desert-friendly Las Vegas) to golf bags, it’s all right here.
Now that you’re fitted to the nines, how about working with one of their experts to improve your game? They offer lessons for everyone. Whether you’re a beginner or a scratch player, the staff will help you get the most out of your game.
“We know you’re serious about your game,” Barrett says. “That’s why you’re at the store. And our guys are fully trained to help. Whether it’s fine-tuning grips, clubs and shafts to customizing your swing, it’s all right here. Whether you’re a 20-handicapper or a scratch golfer, the staff can help with any questions or problems you may have.”
Another good reason to visit the PGA TOUR Superstore is the practice center. There are eight total bays, five for the Superstore pros to work with golfers on their swings and for fittings, along with three for club members. While other golfers are on the range hitting golf balls with no feedback, the practice bays are outfitted with a ball flight technology monitor, giving players instant feedback. If you spot a problem or two, help can be found right in the store with one of their trained experts.
“We have a player’s club ($99 per year) that allows players to use the hitting bays,” Barrett says. “The bays were especially popular in the summer when it was hot and people just didn’t want to hit outside. It’s a loyalty program and players build up points and get money off future purchases.” The math is simple. For every $300 worth of products (anything and everything in the store qualifies), players receive $10 off their next purchase.
There you have it: Everything you can want in a golf store. Or in this case—a superstore.
“We aren’t here to simply sell players a box of golf balls,” says Alan Lebarts, general manager. “We want to be your golf destination.”
